Palestine

 

I made this magazine because I wanted to highlight the severity of the genocide occurring in Palestine. I use a brutalist design to set the tone of intense and uncomfortably. I used the colors of the flag of Palestine because I wanted to make sure as much of their cultures would be represented as its current existence is being threatened. I picked the imagery I picked because sometimes words and statistics aren’t enough to make someone feel, and gruesome images can be a much more effective method of conveying what is going on. My font choices were because I wanted to prioritize readability while being a bulkier typeface to fit the brutalist design. I chose the writing because it was from a credible source while holding any facts back that might make someone uncomfortable, as many news sources do on this topic.
