About me

Finding Trans Happiness

I want you to see my exhibit displayed at the Umpqua Valley Arts.  I created this video film because Living as a trans person in the United States can be hard. Drug abuse, self-harm, and suicide are extremely common in the trans community due to dysphoria, discrimination, threats of violence, and many other everyday worries trans individuals experience. It can often feel hopeless to many, but through visibility, gender care, and community, there is a path towards a happy life for anyone struggling in the trans community. I chose to present my photographs in video film because I wanted to include both an audio component and a clear narrative so that anyone, regardless of background, can understand the main themes behind the piece.
